Agent Provocateur built the modern category. Founded in Soho in 1994 by Joseph Corré and Serena Rees, the house arrived with a confidence the British lingerie market hadn't seen — three-piece sets, deep satins, theatrical hosiery, the pink box. Three decades on, the vocabulary has been widely borrowed; the original still reads differently in the hand.
