Clair Obscur Openable Tanga

The Clair Obscur Openable Tanga is one of the most playful pieces in the collection — and one of the most beautifully resolved.

Graphic openwork black lace runs through the centre, framed by sheer tulle at the hips for a lighter, cleaner line across the body. The cut is minimal and close, with a thong-style back that keeps the silhouette sharp from every angle.

Then there are the buttons.

A line of small gold-tone buttons runs from the front through to the back, allowing the tanga to open almost completely. It is an unapologetically erotic detail, but because the construction is so precise, it still feels polished rather than overtly theatrical.

That contrast is very Clair Obscur: transparency and structure, restraint and play, black graphic lines broken by flashes of gold.

From behind, the openable detail becomes even more striking, tracing the centre of the thong and turning what could have been a simple brief into something much more considered.
