Not every lingerie collection relies on floral lace. Athena proves it doesn't have to.

Named after the Greek goddess of wisdom, Coco de Mer's Athena replaces traditional embroidery with a graphic fan motif, hand-drawn exclusively by a French embroidery atelier whose archives date back to the 1920s. Up close it feels remarkably architectural; from a distance it becomes almost fluid, changing character as it moves across the body.

The new ivory collection reveals another side of Athena. Lighter and quieter than the original black, it transforms one of Coco de Mer's most recognisable designs without losing the confidence that made it so distinctive in the first place.

For me, Athena is one of the most original collections Coco de Mer has created. It doesn't rely on colour or embellishment to make an impression. Instead, exceptional embroidery, considered silhouettes and impeccable craftsmanship.
